We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in fabricating critical steel components and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Position Summary
The Fabricator is responsible for the layout, welding, and preparation of steel structures, beams, columns, and other components essential to the structural steel fabrication process. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, precision, and a strong focus on safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel fabrication and a commitment to contributing to the successful completion of diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Layout & Fabrication: Prepare, cut, and shape steel components based on project specifications and blueprints. This includes beams, columns, and miscellaneous structural steel elements.
  • Welding & Assembly: Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) to assemble steel structures and components, ensuring proper alignment and finish.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret detailed construction drawings, blueprints, and project plans to ensure accuracy in fabrication and assembly.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections of materials, welded joints, and completed fabrications to ensure quality standards and safety regulations are met.
  • Equipment Operation: Use a variety of tools and equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and plasma cutters to fabricate and finish steel components.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other fabricators, project managers, and site teams to ensure all work is completed on schedule and to specification.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, practices, and quality standards, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, or related fields (preferred), but candidates with less experience are also encouraged to apply as training opportunities are available.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication processes.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Experience operating fabrication tools and machinery such as saws, grinders, plasma cutters, and other steel working equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments, including exposure to heights and outdoor conditions.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in all aspects of fabrication.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following OSHA safety protocols.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting to meet deadlines and project goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Welding certifications (e.g., AWS), OSHA 10/30 certifications, or other relevant qualifications.
  • Experience with Miscellaneous Steel: Experience fabricating miscellaneous steel components, such as staircases, handrails, and custom steel structures.
